Our Story

La Jolla Naturals began with a simple goal: help someone I love.

About 15 years ago, my dad was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. For nearly a decade, he managed his blood sugar through healthy eating, regular exercise, and determination. But over time, those lifestyle changes alone were no longer enough, and he eventually needed prescription medication to help maintain healthy blood sugar levels.

Like many families, we wondered if there was anything more we could do to support his health. I began researching natural ingredients that had been studied in clinical research and were backed by credible science—not marketing hype.

That search led me to Eriomin®, a patented citrus flavonoid complex that had shown promising results in supporting healthy glucose metabolism and reducing post-meal blood sugar spikes in clinical studies. What surprised me was that most of the products available at the time combined Eriomin with unnecessary fillers or ingredients that I wasn't comfortable giving my dad every day.

So I decided to do something myself.

I reached out directly to Ingredients by Nature, the company behind Eriomin®, obtained a sample, and encapsulated it myself. My dad began taking it daily as part of his overall health routine.

After a couple of months, he told me he noticed something encouraging: his blood sugar didn't seem to spike as much after meals, and his glucose readings were better than before he began taking it. While everyone's experience is different, seeing the difference it made for him inspired me to think bigger.

If this ingredient could help my dad as part of his wellness routine, perhaps it could help others too.

Along the way, we also discovered another benefit. Eriomin appeared to support a healthy inflammatory response. I began taking it myself—not because I have diabetes or blood sugar concerns, but because I was looking for natural support for everyday inflammation. It quickly became part of my own daily routine.

When it came time to develop our first product, I wanted to create something even better than what I had originally made for my dad. We paired Eriomin with carefully selected complementary citrus bioflavonoids to create a more comprehensive formula, while avoiding unnecessary fillers and focusing on quality ingredients backed by scientific research.

That philosophy became the foundation of La Jolla Naturals.

Today, our mission remains the same: to develop clean, science-backed nutritional supplements that help people support their health naturally. As we grow, we continue researching clinically studied ingredients that address important health concerns and improve quality of life—always guided by the same question that started this journey:
